About James: Consistency, thy name is Kris James. The Hornets' senior back is averaging 134.3 rushing yards per game this season, he has six games with more than 100 yards, five with 120 or more and two with more than 150. He has 133 carries for 940 yards and seven scores this season and - barring anything major - will pass his junior total Friday against Valley.

What he did: James rushed for a season-high 191 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in the Hornets' 35-22 loss to Tallassee last Friday. The senior has accounted for two-thirds of the Hornets' rushing total this year.

In his words: "It all starts with the line. They're the ones that allowed me to have the success that I had. And I've got great coaches, a great running backs coach who's been with us for four years, and he's taught me all he can teach me up to this point."

In His Coach's Words: "He's the centerpiece of our offense. Everything we've done has been through him this year. He's been a leader on our offense, and he's done a great job of handling that load for us. He's the heart and soul of our offense." - Beauregard Coach Smitty Grider
